New master students at IFAE

This month we are happy to welcome two new students to our group: Pau and Elsa, both MSc students in Photonics at UPC.

Elsa completed her bachelor’s degree in Physics at RUG, in Groningen. She will be carrying out her Master’s thesis within our group, focusing on the design of microwave cavities for transmon qubits aimed at dark matter detection.

Pau earned his bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering from UPC and later completed a postgraduate course in Quantum Engineering before joining the master’s program. He also holds a master’s degree in Organizational Management and Data Analytics. At IFAE, Pau will work on the simulation and implementation of a modular flip-chip architecture for quantum circuits.

We are excited to have both of them join the team and look forward to their contributions to the group.
